FHAM is more than a name—it’s layered with meaning: fam means “mouth” in Arabic, faim means “hungry” in French, and femme means “woman” in French. Together, they reflect a simple truth: in Arab culture, food is a mother’s love language—and hospitality is in our DNA.
Premier Events
Hospitality is at the heart of our culture, and creating unforgettable experiences is what we do best. Each year, we strive to bring that spirit to life through an immersive celebration that feels like stepping into another world—filled with incredible food, vibrant music, captivating entertainment, rich traditions, and unforgettable experiences for the entire family.
When we launched Arabian Nights Festival in 2025, our goal was to welcome 500 guests. The response far exceeded our expectations, with more than 900 tickets sold and an overwhelming outpouring of support from both the Arab American community and the broader public. It became clear that there was a strong desire for meaningful cultural experiences that bring people together through food, music, art, and connection.
On August 29, 2026, Arabian Nights Festival returns—bigger, better, and inspired by everything we learned from our inaugural year. We can’t wait to welcome guests back for an even more magical celebration of culture, community, and hospitality.
Community Events
Hosting is our specialty. We host a wide range of experiences, from community festivals and cultural tours to educational workshops, nonprofit initiatives, and exclusive private events. At FHAM LLC, our mission is to make celebration, connection, and cultural appreciation accessible to everyone.
In many Eastern cultures, gathering is a way of life—a reason to connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories. We strive to bring that same spirit of hospitality, joy, and community to the diaspora and our neighbors here in the West through meaningful experiences that inspire connection and understanding.

Farah Jawad-Makki
Meet Farah Jawad-Makki — Founder of FHAM LLC and the vision behind everything that FHAM does.
Farah is a proud Arab American, a longtime healthcare professional, educator, and storyteller with a deep love for culture, food, and community. After nearly two decades serving patients and mentoring future clinicians at the University of Michigan, she felt called to build something that celebrated identity, connection, and joy on a broader scale.
Born from this spirit was the Arabian Nights Festival, the premier event that launched FHAM and proved it was everything Farah had been called to do. It’s a gathering rooted in cultural pride, artistic expression, and the power of sharing stories, flavors, and traditions. Through this event, Farah hopes to invite others into the richness of Arab culture—not as spectators, but as honored guests.

FHAM isn’t simply an event company—it’s the beginning of a larger vision.
Through her experiences as a healthcare professional, educator, mother, immigrant, and Arab American woman, Farah has witnessed the power of community to transform lives. She has also seen the challenges many women face as they navigate identity, career, family, and belonging while trying to remain connected to their roots.

Designed to remove the guesswork from healthy eating, the system does the planning, calculations, and portioning for you—so you can focus on living your life instead of counting calories, macros, or points.

At FHAM, we work to uplift individual experiences that weave into the story of our collective, with the goal of undoing false claims about the East and removing the idea that we aren’t just humans experiencing a human life.

The human experience is complex and filled with nuance. At its heart, FHAM exists to remind us that while our stories, traditions, and backgrounds may differ, our desire for connection is universal. By creating spaces where people can learn from one another, share their cultures, and celebrate together, Farah hopes to help build a future where understanding, belonging, and community know no borders.
